QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, chemical, physical, or biological
science is required.
Master s degree in business/science, Health Administration or related field
preferred.
Education must come from an accredited college or university.

Qualifications:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and
Power Point is required.
Prior experience with laboratory information systems, preferred, but
consideration is given to other Hospital El-IR systems.
Be able to communicate via memos, emails, reports, and other means of
correspondence.
Be able to create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical.
Be able to make independent decisions daily, addressing the best way to
handle specific tasks.

Experience: A minimum of six (6) years of related healthcare experience is
required, which at least three (3) years of progressively responsible,
independent and professional experience is required .

Responsible to: System Administrative Director of Laboratory and Pathology
Services

SUMMARY: The Laboratory Administrator supervises the day-to-day operations of
the Laboratory Administration responsibilities and provides administrative
support and assistance to the Laboratory Supervisors and answer general
laboratory administrative questions. The individual in the position is a
resource for staffing issues including hiring, competency assessment and
corrective actions.
The Laboratory Administrator has general knowledge of all laboratory areas,
expertise and leadership in laboratory medicine and extensive knowledge of
quality standards and regulatory guidelines. This position requires the
exercise of independent judgement and responsibility. Other critical aspects
include project management, data analysis and management, facilitation of the
laboratory safety team and other process improvement teams (PIT), and oversite
of annual required education for staff. The Laboratory Administrator is
responsible for providing support on projects, meetings, correspondence, data
compilation and analysis for reports, quality metrics, audits and performance
indicators.

Salary Range: $27.81 – $48.94
