Qualifications:

Education:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

License/Certifications:

Current registration as a licensed professional nurse in New York State.

Experience:

Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the New York State
Practice Act
and the American Nurses Association (ANA) Standards of Nursing Practice.
Must possess incentive and initiative to maintain and update professional
knowledge and skill necessary to render optimal patient care. Minimum of one
(1) year Med/Surg experience required.

Summary/Duties:

Responsible for adhering to Columbia Memorial Hospital s Patient Safety
behaviors by practicing its error prevention tools, and including but not
limited to all policies, procedures and processes related to the Patient Safety
Program.


The registered nurse works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
to determine and meet the needs of the patient. The registered nurse has the
primary responsibility and accountability for providing quality care to
patients through the use of the nursing process as reflected in the Standards
of Nursing Practice and in a manner that is cost-effective without compromising
quality care. Responsible for planning, coordinating, delegating and
evaluating patient care utilizing the Nursing Process.





Salary Range: $40.04 – $55.78
