Qualifications:

Education/Eligibility:
Currently matriculated in an accredited School of Nursing. Has successfully
completed at least one (1) full year in the Nursing program which includes at
least
one (1) medical/surgical rotation. A reference from a clinical instructor
attesting
to the Nurse Extern s current enrollment and completion of a clinical rotation.

Responsible to:
Patient, Charge Nurse, Nursing Coordinator, Nurse Director, VP Patient &
Clinical
Services or COO.

Summary/Duties:
Columbia Memorial Hospital will work collaboratively with Nursing programs to
offer
employment for Nursing students, while providing hands-on experience to
strengthen
clinical skills and provide student nurses the opportunity to experience
Nursing in a
professional practice environment. The objective of Nurse Externship are the
development of basic nursing techniques and observing/participating in patient
procedures; development of communication skills and again, experience working
as part
of a team collaboratively with other disciplines.

Salary Range: $24.12 – $24.12
