DIRECTOR OF CLINIC OPERATIONS- AMBULATORY SERVICES – 12007

QUALIFICATIONS:


Education: BSN required. Master s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration,
or related field preferred. Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) or related
discipline preferred.


License/Certifications: NYS RN License is required; Specialty nursing or
leadership certification (e.g., NE-BC, CENP) strongly preferred.


Experience: Minimum 710 years of progressive nursing leadership in ambulatory
or outpatient care settings. Proven track record of leading clinical
operations, quality improvement, and regulatory readiness. Demonstrated success
in fostering professional practice environments aligned with Magnet principles.
Strategic thinker with strong operational and financial acumen. Excellent
interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to lead
change, build consensus, and inspire teams. Strong knowledge of Magnet
standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in ambulatory care
delivery. Has a sound understanding of nursing scope of practice and the NYS
Nurse Practice.

SUMMARY:

The Director of Clinic Operations (Ambulatory Services) provides strategic and
operational leadership for Primary Care Practices. This role is responsible for
ensuring high quality, patient-centered care delivery while driving performance
excellence in alignment with organizational goals and the pursuit of ANCC
Magnet designation. The Director serves as a champion of nursing practice,
professional development, patient safety, and continuous improvement across all
ambulatory care settings.

Salary Range: $51.60 – $79.31
