The Infection Control Nurse participates with the Infection Control Committee
within Columbia Memorial Hospital and providing consultation to Kaaterskill
Care Nursing Home to assure there is a maintenance of infection control
measures and a safe environment of patients, staff and visitors.

Education:
Registered Nurse or expertise in Microbiology

Licenses/Certifications:
Attend APIC Basic IFC Course (if not previously attended to be completed within
six (6) months)
Continuing education programs related to Infection Control and Epidemiology
NYS Registered Nurse
Current BLS certification

Experience:
Familiar with computer data systems
Age Range of Patient Served: Serves all ages, newborn through geriatric. Will
attend minimum of one in-service per year relating to Age Specific Care.

Salary Range: $24.00 – $37.87
